True Sacrifice Is Choosing "Us"

True sacrifice isn’t losing yourself. It’s choosing “us” even when it’s inconvenient.

We’re taught that sacrifice means erasing yourself. Giving up dreams. Becoming quiet.
But that’s not sacrifice. That’s disappearance.
Real sacrifice is different.
It’s showing up on the day you’re tired.
It’s listening when you’d rather speak.
It’s holding space for someone else’s mess, while still holding onto your own boundaries.

It’s not about losing me.
It’s about choosing us — again and again — even when it costs time, comfort, and ego.

That’s where love lives.
That’s where friendship grows.
That’s where we become human.

Not in grand gestures.
In the small, inconvenient choices.
